Description of original award (Fiscal Year 2009, $199,025)

The Comprehensive Approaches to Sex Offender Management Training and Technical Assistance (CASOM) Grant Program, authorized by 42 U.S.C. 13941, supports training programs to assist probation officers, parole officers, and others who work with released sex offenders in the areas of case management, supervision and relapse prevention.
The Tangipahoa Parish Sheriff's Offices 21ST Judicial District Sex Offender Compliance Unit Training Program will provide training that will promote, establish, and foster collaboration among member agencies that will establish cohesive sex offender management policies and procedures, provide training that will educate and update field officers and administrators and continually evaluate existing policies and procedures.
