Description of original award (Fiscal Year 2008, $196,579)

The Comprehensive Approaches to Sex Offender Management Training and Technical Assistance (CASOM) Grant Program, authorized by 42 U.S.C. 13941, supports training programs to assist probation officers, parole officers, and others who work with released sex offenders in the areas of case management, supervision and relapse prevention.

The Security Assessment Group, Inc. (S.A.G.) will provide training and technical assistance to sex offender management agencies. S.A.G. will develop a SORNA-compliant curriculum which addresses sex offender management and accountability issues. It is anticipated that through provision of this training to sex offender management agency personnel, jurisdictions will be able to implement efficient and effective practices, starting with Louisiana, Arkansas, Mississippi, Alabama and Georgia.
