FY23 Support for Adam Walsh Act Implementation Grant Program

Virginia State Police will use AWA grant funds to enter another procurement contract with the current Virginia Sex Offender Management System vendor to improve communication and the transfer of sex offender information. The funds will support the development of local law enforcement and correctional agency electronic dashboards that will provide offender status and other information that help agencies monitor sex offenders and, when needed, take enforcement actions. In addition, the SOR section will use the dashboard to communicate requests and warnings to agencies and provide additional data transfers/notifications. The funds will also be used for training and travel to conferences.
