The purpose of the Winnebago Tribe of Nebraska’s project will be to continue and enhance its jurisdictional implementation of SORNA by improving public sex offender registry systems to support and maintain SORNA implementation; improve staff understanding of sex offender monitoring and registry; increase public knowledge of sex offenses and sex offender whereabouts; and make SORNA records and data accessible to law enforcement agencies in and surrounding the Winnebago Reservation jurisdiction.
