The Comprehensive Approaches to Sex Offender Management Training and Technical Assistance (CASOM) Grant Program, authorized by 42 U.S.C. 13941, supports training programs to assist probation officers, parole officers, and others who work with released sex offenders in the areas of case management, supervision and relapse prevention.
The Florida Department of Law Enforcement will make online training available for local sheriff's offices and police departments throughout the state in terms of: 1) operational field guide support for the effective management of sexual offenders and their registration; and 2) current state/federal laws, policies, and procedures concerning registration and requirements of SORNA. ca/ncf
