Virginia State Police proposes to use AWA funds to allow for a direct interface between Virginia Sex Offender Management System (VSOMS) and the Virginia Department of Corrections (VDOC), VDOC probation and parole, and local jails. This will allow for more efficient processing of sex offense registrants who are being received, transferred, and released from those agencies' facilities. The grant funds will support a contract with VSOMS vendor; travel; and indirect costs.
