FY21 Tennessee Bureau of Investigation Support for Adam Walsh Act

The Tennessee Bureau of Investigation (TBI) will use its grant funds to strengthen the state's implementation of SORNA. TBI’s  grant funds will support 1) overtime pay for SOR analysts/staff for a SOR digitization project in which a backlog of SOR registry documentation requires scanning and auditing prior to being put into the system; 2) procurement of contracts to add Juvenile Offender Classification to SOR applications, add a legal lock-down feature for out-of-state offender classifications, increase local agencies’ ability to add and access supplemental offender images save and store pages for SOR, and hire a part-time temporary investigator to aid in absconder investigations and compliance operations; and 3) travel for the part-time investigator/absconder liaison.
